Kingston to host second venture capital conference September

The second annual Venture Capital Conference is to be held in Kingston on September 9.

Joseph M. Matalon, the chairman of the Development Bank of Jamaica (DBJ), and Milverton Reynolds, managing director, will announce the details of the conference at a press briefing on Wednesday.

This year's conference is being held under the theme: 'Towards a dynamic ecosystem ...linking capital, innovation, entrepreneurship for growth.'

The conference will include plenaries and round table discussions focusing on creating deals and opportunities.

There will also be local and international experts on private equity and venture capital in conversation with local investors and entrepreneurs.

Also in attendance at the briefing will be Audrey Richards, project coordinator, Jamaica Venture Capital Programme.
