The president of the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica (PSOJ), Christopher Zacca, has announced that he will not be seeking re-election.

The PSOJ will be electing a new president and executive at its next council meeting on December 18.

Zacca has served as PSOJ president for a total of five years.

His first stint was from 2006-2009 and his second, from 2012 to present.

The PSOJ says Zacca wants to make room for leadership renewal in the organisation.

Yesterday, the PSOJ held its 26th Annual General Meeting in Kingston at which members elected 20 companies, 25 associations and five individuals to serve for a two-year period on the organisation’s 50-member Council.

The next president and the executive committee will be elected from the council.
