Applying for a place on West Indies team
THE EDITOR, Sir: I attach the following letter to the West Cricket Board:

Congrats Ms Wong
THE EDITOR, Sir: KINDLY ALLOW me space to say 'thank you' and 'congratulation' to Ms. Laureen Wong, businesswoman and voluntary social worker, within the town of Annotto Bay for the tremendous job that she is doing...

Voodoo vs Christianity in Haiti
THE EDITOR, Sir: I SEE where leaders of the Caribbean Conference of Churches have taken a strong position on the serious political issue of Aristide's claim to be the rightful President of Haiti.

'True democracy'
THE EDITOR, Sir: WHEN I recently read Jermaine Spencer's lengthy defence of Aristide's recent removal from Haiti as a 'democratic' action, I found myself shaking my head in disbelief.

Gov't, Opposition must unite
THE EDITOR, Sir: THE OPPOSITION is threatening to call out protesters about the increase in property tax.

A fair analogy
THE EDITOR, Sir: I BELIEVE that a fair analogy can be drawn between the JLP and the West Indies cricket team. Both were once at the top of their games, both have had a recent history of consistent infighting and squabbles...

J'cans are like pendulums
THE EDITOR, Sir: JAMAICANS ARE like a pendulum, swinging from one extreme to the other. When we are bad and violent, we are at our worst; when we are kind, we pour out our hearts, as the kindest, and when we are good we are the best.

Blame the Gov't
THE EDITOR, Sir: I WOULD like to see the Government implement in every parish a comprehensive list of every land owner in that parish and ways to access that list by potential buyers and real estate lawyers.
