LETTER OF THE DAY - Pastoral affirmation of leadership
THE EDITOR, Sir: Our nation has been experiencing a serious and ever-worsening crisis on nearly every front - social, moral, economic and governance leadership. The situation demands bold and decisive action, especially from persons in positions of influence.

Oh no, Rev Miller!

THE EDITOR, Sir: Rev. Al Miller's involvement as a commentator on the TVJ debate on August 11, between the Most Hon. Portia Simpson Miller and Mr. Bruce Golding is most unfortunate, The reverend should have declined the invitation for the following reasons.

Debatable win

THE EDITOR, Sir: This is proving a very interestingelection campaign indeed. I have noticed the articles in both newspapers, suggesting the quality of the recent debates would determine the outcome of the election on August 27.

Education priority

THE EDITOR, Sir: I am a teacher and I believe education is important to growth and development, reduction of crime and good social life.
