Monique Brown won her second medal in two days when she took silver in the 300 metres speed skating event at the Special Olympics World Winter Games in Idaho, United States, yesterday.
Brown, 16, the bronze medal winner in 200m speed skating on Tuesday, clocked 56.06 seconds. China got the gold and the United States bronze.
Disqualified
Richard Hillary, gold medallist in the 200m speed skating race on Tuesday, was disqualified in the 500m race but came in fourth with a time of 47:16 seconds in the 300m race. This race was won by Japan with the Netherlands bagging silver and Hong Kong bronze.
