Humble Lion's head coach Donovan Duckie has hailed his team for its outstanding performance after its victory against Arnett Gardens in the Red Stripe Premier League last night.

Humble Lion claimed their seventh victory in their last eight matches after carving out a 2-1 win over Arnett at the Effortville Community Center in their Monday encounter.

Captain Jermaine Christian opened the scoring in the 30th minute and Devon Hodges doubled their lead 10 minutes into the second half.

Former Charlie Smith striker Marcelino Blackburn would pull one back in stoppage time for Arnett Gardens, who were losing for the first time since November 24.

Duckie says he was very delighted with his team's performance.

Humble Lion are on 32 points, the same as fifth-placed Rivoli United and sixth-placed Tivoli Gardens.

Their placement was determined based on goal difference.

However, the Jerome Waite-coached Arnett are still on top of the table with 45 points despite the setback.
