To meet increased traffic anticipated this summer, Air Jamaica will add two weekly non-stop flights from New York/JFK to Grenada, bringing the airline's total weekly flights to the Eastern Caribbean island to four.

Beginning June 26, Air Jamaica will add a Friday flight. Starting July 13, the airline will add a Monday flight. Air Jamaica currently operates two weekly, non-stop flights on Wednesdays, and Saturdays.

More flight options

"We want to make travel convenient for our valued customers, by offering more flight options during the busy summer months," Air Jamaica's senior director, sales, George deMercado, told JIS News.

"The increase in service to Grenada was made possible by close cooperation with the minister of foreign affairs and tourism, through the Grenada Board of Tourism, and members of the Grenada Airlift Com-mittee," he added.

Baggage allowance

All Air Jamaica flights to Grenada will feature baggage allowance of up to two pieces of checked luggage per passenger in economy class and free in-flight entertainment.

The airline's newly revised schedule comprises 218 weekly flights to 13 destinations, with service between Jamaica and Toronto, New York (JFK), Chicago (O'Hare), Baltimore, Philadelphia, Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, Curaçao and Nassau, as well as service between New York and Barbados and New York and Grenada.
