Praise for bank employee
Published: Tuesday | March 24, 2009
On Thursday February 19, I attended the National Commercial Bank branch, on Main Street, Port Maria, St Mary to conduct a business transaction. On entering the bank, I was met by a member of staff who was very courteous and polite. She works in the customer service section. While I was inside the bank I was trying to get a ticket in order to get a place in the line. I was having difficulty detaching the tickets from the machine, and a few of them were coming off. Apparently, she saw the difficulty I was experiencing and came to my assistance.
The incident
She asked how she could assist me and I told her what was happening and that I could not obtain a number. She tore off the number for me and asked me what kind of transaction I wanted to do. Before going to the teller, she looked at my identification card and assisted me in tearing out the N.I.S voucher from the booklet. She wrote my identification number on the back of the voucher and she told me where to stand in the line.
Feeling good
After going up to the teller who encashed the voucher, I checked the money and thought I had placed it in my bag. However, the money was not properly placed in the bag and fell out on my way out of the bank. She called to me and told me to check my bag. Not knowing what it was, she handed me a bag with all my money intact.
I was feeling so good in the moment I forgot to ask for her name. Another teller later told me her name was Racquel Harvey.
Being a senior citizen, I was very pleased with the kind attention given to me by this individual, and this is a plus for the organisation.
