Policy contradictions

As I read The Sunday Gleaner on the internet I had to laugh. I quote from the relevant article: "Karl Samuda, the minister of commerce, investment and industry, tells The Sunday Gleaner that it is very important to keep the construction sector afloat.

"'Investment in infrastructure is going to be crucial. The construction sector generates a lot of employment and we certainly need to encourage it,' Samuda says."

Controversy

On the other hand, there is the KSAC issuing orders to developers to do the exact opposite! What a controversy. In this 21st century, we need to decide if we are a nation of growth or anti-growth. Do we or do we not need to keep people employed? Encourage employment - what a joke!

I am, etc.,
