Letter of the day - Change the mindset of the next generation
Dear Mr Boyne I have been an ardent reader of your Sunday articles and have found them well researched and written. The articles of two Sundays ago, June 15 and 22, have been misleading.

Manchester's wind-energy potential

The Editor, Sir: Dear Hon Audley Shaw, Hon Michael Peart, Hon Peter Bunting, Dr Herbert Thompson, Ms Sally Porteous. All the best to you eminent sons and daughter of Manchester. You may have noted in the Sunday Gleaner of July 6, Dr Raymond Wright, our renowned energy scientist, extolled the endowment of Manchester in wind-energy potential.

'It takes a village to grow a child'

The Editor, Sir: When the African proverb, 'It takes a village to grow a child' was created, it was deeply analysed and thought about as it is such an important tool to use to help maintain discipline in our children.

Patois is our mother tongue

The Editor, Sir: I would like to respond to the Letters of the Day for July 7 and July 9, both of which continue the debate about language sparked off by the Patois Bible project.I was impressed with Dr Kouwenberg's letter.
