Letter of the Day - Student says 'leaders' not playing by the rules
The Editor, Sir: When one observes the 'leaders' of our country, it is no wonder Jamaicans are incapable of settling feuds. Basic problem solving and debating skills are absent from our society.

Education reform needed

The Editor, Sir: It is commendable that our new government, spearheaded by Education Minister Andrew Holness, finds it necessary to pay special attention to our secondary-school system.

Double standards

The Editor, Sir: It disturbs me that on the same day, there are two articles that are of major concern having different standards. One article mentions the "round table" talks between warring factions in the Kingston downtown area, and the other speaks to "arresting corrupt cops right away".

MP complains about roads in Portland

The Editor, Sir: The citizens of Portland continue to experience severe hardships and extreme suffering as a result of the deplorable conditions of the roads leading to the parish.
