Scholars and Maroons mingle at Accompong
The sacred space that the cool hilltop district of Accompong Town, St. Elizabeth, occupies in the annals of black history was blessed with the intervention of an intellectual sort, on Saturday, December 5, when scholars from all over the world descended upon what is arguably one of the most famous historical sites in the Western hemisphere.

Deaths from crime and violence have no equal, save those that stem from traffic accidents. The state of roads has added to that fact, and soon the Irwindale main road could become a killer as well. The November rains have washed away a third of the road, which runs from Irwindale in Trelawny to St. James.

Jamaica's men on a mission set for February

On Monday, December 17, the Rev. Dr. David Kuck, who is one of the deputy presidents of the United Theological College of the West Indies (UTCWI), officially launched Preaching in the Caribbean: Building Up A People For Mission. His book is a publication of Faith Works Press.
