Letter of the day - CARICOM and the Haitian crisis
THE EDITOR, Sir: IN YOUR article in The Sunday Gleaner, February 1, 2004 entitled 'CARICOM and Haiti A time for vision and principle' the writer showed a great deal of competence and understanding of the Haitian political crisis.

A wanton disgrace
THE EDITOR, Sir: I WAS sent on pre-retirement leave in July 2002 after 24 years as a public servant and begun contacting the Ministry of Finance's pension division regarding obtaining a reduced pension and gratuity.

No peace, no visa
THE EDITOR Sir: I AM convinced that it is not the intention of the Government to have the crime escalating. They just don't have the fix for it.
