Molly

Q: What do you think about a person wearing dark glasses to a formal event or to an evening function? I think it's in poor taste and shouldn't be emulated.

A: Absolutely! It is inappropriate to wear dark glasses to an evening function unless the person is visually impaired.

Q: I've fallen in love with make-up, fashion and all that good stuff. My question is, is it better to use mascara for that full-lashed look or lash extensions. I've seen some real good and real bad examples of each.

A: That is fabulous, as a love for make-up and fashion can enhance your natural beauty and charm. My suggestion is to use a good mascara and an eyelash curler, curl your eyelashes before you apply the mascara; it makes a big difference. The extensions are expensive and only last a couple of months. You may use fake lashes for a special occasion; there are some good ones out there. Please remember that a tube of mascara only lasts up to six months, even if it doesn't look dried up, the consistency will be off and therefore the application won't go well at all!

Q: I have a neurological problem which causes involuntary movement in my hands (shaking and nervousness). Sometimes, I have to attend functions where a buffet-style meal is presented. If I pick up a plate to serve myself, it will spill over and I become embarrassed. So, as soon as it is time to eat, I leave the function. Please advise me what to do.

A: I am so sorry to hear of your condition; however, the fact that you still attend functions is fabulous! Do not leave, my dear, ask someone to assist you with the food, either a friend or colleague, and enjoy it. I wish you God's blessings.
