Constable Dwayne Chisholm of the St Thomas Police Division was shot and killed after intervening in an attempted robbery at a party in Albion. Twenty-two-year-old Gawayne Lewis was also killed during the incident.

The other deaths were part of a triple murder in the Molynes Road area.

The Constabulary Communication Network confirmed that a triple murder occurred on Sundown Crescent off Molynes Road at 4:45 p.m. Further details were not available as the investigating officers were still at the scene of the crime gathering information up to press time.

Meanwhile, reports from the liaison officer for St Thomas are that about 1:30 a.m., Constable Dwayne Chisholm and Lewis were at a function at Albion when they were attacked by gunmen who shot them.
