Justice Kay Beckford remanded Morgan-Carr until June 15 when the trial will commence.
The men are Colgette Gilbert and Gregory Thomas, who are on bail, and Stephen Smith, who is in custody.
Allegations are that Morgan- Carr was arrested at the Norman Manley International Airport on September 14, 2004, for possession of and attempting to export cocaine. She was arrested by Woman Sergeant Lorraine Elliston.
Finding an accomplice
While she was in lock-up at the Central Village Police Station, St Catherine, it is alleged that Morgan-Carr asked an inmate for her assistance to find someone to murder the policewoman. It is alleged that Morgan-Carr said that the only way she could get off the drug charges was if the policewoman was murdered.
After Morgan-Carr and the inmate left the lock-up, it is alleged that Morgan-Carr kept asking the former inmate if she had found someone to do the job. Morgan-Carr had allegedly agreed to pay someone to murder the policewoman.
It is further alleged that on a particular day in February 2005, Morgan-Carr asked someone to accompany Smith to the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court to point out the policewoman to Smith.
A report was made to the police. Following investigations, the four were arrested and charged.
