"I've wanted to be a model ever since I watched my first fashion show at age three. I believe the fashion business embodies all of my interests: travel, networking and, of course, fashion," says Connecticut representative Chantel Davis.
Currently enrolled at the college of New Rochelle in New York, Chantel hopes, once she finishes her studies, to travel extensively and explore new cultures.
"I love meeting new people, which is why I spend most of my leisure time reading about different places. Modelling, I believe, provides the perfect opportunity for me to realise that dream."
After gracing the international runways, Chantel hopes to return to Jamaica to work in the public sector. Her favourite models include Jamaican Jaunel McKenzie, Indian Lakshmi Menon and Brazilian Emanuela de Paula.
The Gleaner concludes its feature on the eight finalists in Pulse's Caribbean Model Search (CMS) with the final instalment. The women are vying to be recognised as the top new model in the Caribbean and to receive a professional contract.

Age: 16
Height: 5'8"
Country: Barbados
An avid Rihanna fan, Jodisha is this season's budding musical talent. The teen, who enjoys singing and dancing, regularly tunes her dial to the Pon Di Replay songstress.
"Rihanna is my icon. I love her music and her style. She's doing very well in fashion too with contracts for Cover Girl and Gucci. I hope to land exclusive and cool campaigns like that in my modelling career," she says.
The youngest in this year's CMS set, the vivacious teen decided to 'try her face at fashion' upon the recommendation of family members. "My mother encouraged me to try out for modelling. I took her advice and now I'm representing my country in a model competition!"
Jodisha hopes to be gracing international runways and magazine covers in a few years. "It's every model's dream to be in Vogue so I would love to be on the cover of multiple Vogue magazines as well as walk the runways in Paris," she says.
