Jah Cure album drops in April

ROOTS singer Jah Cure's new album, The Universal Cure, is scheduled to be released in early April by So Be Entertainment/-Danger Zone Music Group. Its first single, Call On Me, with R'n'B singer Phyllisa, has already been released in the United States.

The Universal Cure is Jah Cure's long-awaited follow-up to 2007's True Reflections ... A New Beginning, which was distributed by another independent record company, VP Records.

Jah Cure was incarcerated for eight years on a rape charge. During his time in prison, he became a cult figure in the dancehall through songs like Longing For and True Reflections.

He was released from prison in July 2007.
