The talent of Jamaica's young people is on display at The Mutual Gallery with the 'Young Generation' exhibition.
The exhibition opened on March 12 and runs until April 4.
Diversity of expression is expected in the selection of the 14 artists, mostly graduates from the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts, taking part in this year's exhibition. In the medium of painting, a jury of three selected Oliver Myrie, Kevon Archer, Carlton Reid, Robert Young, Russell Gunning, Janeque Henry and two artists from the wider Caribbean, Robert Joyette (St Vincent) and Robbert Enfield (BVI). Khepera Oluyia Hatsheptwa works in mixed media and Monique Ashmeade's entry is in charcoal drawings. Three photographers, Lorenzo Henry, Vennessa 'Kukki' Hanshaw and O'Neil Lawrence, and the intuitive art of Chris Harris complete this year's selection.
Gallery hours are Monday to Friday from 10.00 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
