Double standards

The Editor, Sir:

The elements of puppetry in our society have been with us for a long time. Imagine, a body like the Broadcasting Commission with so many educated persons in its midst and yet they cannot realise what is good for the goose is not good for the gander. By this I mean if you ban X-rated dancehall, then you should ban carnival.

No due diligence

It seems that in Jamaica, all you need to do is get a degree and then follow the direct or indirect orders of the rich without doing the necessary due diligence learned in school.

It is really a shame that after all this schooling the erudite in our society have become puppets. Double standards is what is wrecking Jamaica, not crime.

I am, etc.,
