Millions for 'Village'

1 While some are disturbed that the chief did not visit the 'Village' at the recent high-profile function, some say it was his way of protesting the sponsorship deal and/or the reported millions of dollars spent to construct it.

Sign of the times

2 Seems like the once-friendly skies are less so these days with news of downsizing hitting home! Some say it's a sign of the times, as the plethora of private planes and even helicopters criss-crossing the skies has also been absent in recent times.

Caught with 'side girl'!

3 When word reached the young businesswoman that her boyfriend was busy using her car to cavort with other women, she decided to take matters in her hands. So, one night when he took her car, she had one of her girlfriends pick her up and together, they trailed him to Havendale, where he picked up a young lady and went to a nightspot in New Kingston. After waiting two hours for him to emerge, she got tired and simply used her key to drive her car to her friend's home, where she left it in hiding to await his explanation as to what had happened to it! Well, he got a ride home in a police vehicle and, after hearing him out, she sent him packing!

Another 'home movie'

4 There's talk about another of those 'home movies' doing the rounds. Word is that this time, the same-gender couple made the movie when everything was hunky-dory and they were in love. Well, love has now flown the coop and the ensuing separation became one bitter ordeal, played out between families and friends!

Outstanding bills

5 The lower-level functionary, who enjoyed some kind of protected status, took it to mean 'immunity' from paying bills incurred and so flew off to another assignment recently, leaving unpaid bills behind and a bad aftertaste!

Ready to spill!

6 Buzz is that one of those recently relieved of his position is getting ready to draw long bench and pop story. Word is he has a lot to say, and about a lot of things!

Still the wife

7 Friends say the estranged one is not at all happy whenever she sees photos of her husband and his current belle in the media, and so she never fails to remind them that she is still legally the wife!

An embarrassment

8 Some think he is an embarrassment to the group and they are recommending that he take or be given a leave of absence.
