EDITORIAL: Reverberations from US financial meltdown
The reverberations from the continuing tectonic shifts in the US financial markets are being felt around the world and we in Jamaica cannot feel ourselves insulated from its effects. Indeed, as the old cliché goes, if America sneezes, our region is almost certain to catch a cold....

NOTE-WORTHY

Sad about Simoes - It was sad to see the manner in which former technical director, René Simoes, departed office. I still have the greatest respect and admiration for his accomplishments in 1998, and hope Jamaicans still do.
