Crime wave organised
published: Thursday | June 26, 2008

THE EDITOR, Sir:

The Letter of the Day published March 22, 2005 entitled "Crime is well organised by 'big men'" should be in a very conspicuous section of this newspaper because it is both eye-opening and most relevant for a time such as this.

It seems now that the airwaves have been taken over by such types at all levels. Confused and tortured minds posing as concerned citizens are doing a very magnificent job of driving up the crime wave.

Selling themselves

They are accommodated in their diabolic schemes by hosts who share their own views. What is the main vehicle they use? They sell themselves in most cases as concerned individuals who are on the side of the poor and those who have had their human rights abused. Whenever the government comes up with means of stemming crime they are most vociferous.

Do not be fooled. They are not as concerned as they appear. They enjoy walking over the corpses of their fellowmen. If we listen carefully, it is not their natural voice. It is demonic.

Whatever plans the prime minister has to stem the crime wave he should go ahead with them. It is not a perfect world and truth pressed to the ground will rise again.

As the article said, "venal politicians have been bought and corrupted" and "veracious businessmen are in collusion with the organisers of crime". Added to the mix are "confused and tortured souls" who have access to the airwaves and who are driving their diabolic dreams to destroy Jamaica.

I am, etc.,

P. LOGAN.

Trelawny
