New look, new uniforms, and new restaurants; but the same good taste.
KFC, one of the island's favourite fast-food outlets, is sporting a new look, and directors, suppliers and business partners celebrated that on Wednesday evening at the KFC outlet on Old Hope Road; the very first one ever built.
Not only were the directors of the company celebrating a new image, they were also cheering on 33 years of existence. Photos in the reception area showed the evolution of the restaurant over the three decades.
The new look will soon be coming to other branches, including May Pen and Cross Roads. There will also be five new restaurants as part of the company's evolution. Managing director of KFC, Mark Myers, promised that the changes would be more than visual, incorporating top-quality menu and exceptional customer service.
Upscale furniture
Guests were given a short tour and description of the KFC makeover. The upscale furniture and modern lighting all aid in delivering the desired casual dining experience. After the tour, it was all about soft music, lyming and enjoying the fare which was, of course, some of the Colonel's best goodies.
Guests included: Agriculture Minister Dr Christopher Tufton, state minister in the Ministry of Industry and Commerce Michael Stern, Bob Fowler, Chris Levy, Garfield Joseph, Ethlyn Norton-Coke, Andrew Reid, Chris Nakash, Ralston Hyman, Ed Khoury and Howard Nugent.
