BRIDGETOWN, Barbados (CMC):
English cricket authorities yesterday confirmed that England will play four Tests and five One-Day Internationals on their tour of the Caribbean next year.
England, ranked No. 4 in the International Cricket Council rankings, are scheduled to arrive in Barbados on January 21 next year and will play two warm-up matches before heading to Sabina Park in Jamaica for the opening Test from February 4-8.
Second Test
The second Test will be staged at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua from February 13-17 before the teams head back to Barbados for the third Test at Kensington Oval starting February 26.
Trinidad and Tobago (T&T) will be the scene of the final Test which bowls off March 6 at the Queen's Park Oval.
Following the lone Twenty20 match in T&T, the teams will head to Guyana for an ODI double header on March 20 and 22 at the national stadium at Providence.
Barbados will host the next two ODIs on March 27 and 29 before St Lucia's Beausejour Stadium brings the curtain down on the tour with the final match, a day/night encounter, on April 3.
