published: Monday | February 25, 2008

The newly appointed Public Service Commission (PSC) is to begin interviewing applicants for the post of solicitor general and director of public prosecutions (DPP) this week.

The applicants for DPP have been shortlisted from six to three.

They are:

Senior Deputy DPP Paula Llewellyn

DPP in the British Virgin Islands, Terrence Williams

Hugh Wildman, an adviser to the Grenadian government.

Douglas Leys, the deputy solicitor general, is the only applicant for the post of solicitor general.

The former PSC was dismissed by Governor General Sir Kenneth Hall on the recommendation of Prime Minister Bruce Golding last year, for misconduct.
