Pulse model Nell Robinson will appear in the March edition of 'American Cosmo'. - Contributed
Pulse cover girl Nell Robinson is the editorial star of the current issue of American Cosmo.
With her latest accomplishment, Nell has clearly proven that while hers might be the body of the new age (ARENA magazine), her beauty transcends sexy.
Showing off the fresh and modern interpretation of '70s style rock n roll glam in denim - minis, bell bottoms and platforms to boot, Nell shows her versatility and the result is an editorial with an edge, an achievement for a model who has always been marketed by the fashion industry as a sex goddess.
The seven-page fashion story was shot by famed photographer and fellow Caribbean son Marc Baptiste in the heart of New York City.
Cosmo's fashion editor Heather Pfaff was on hand to ensure impeccable execution of the latest denim trends. From head to toe, the Kingston native was styled to perfection. Luxurious tresses were curled to the max by top New York hairstylist Leon Gorman and Nell's long luminous legs showed why the mini is back with a bang.
Her lanky, yet super sexy frame expertly shows off the high-waisted flared denim that is definitely a must- have for the season. The fact is that Nell has been so dominant in the British lingerie campaign market that, while she is proud of her success, she is particularly pleased with this new direction into high fashion editorials.
Great photographer
"This was such an awesome shoot," says Nell who also played the starring role in last summer's British edition of Cosmopolitan. "Marc was fantastic, he is a great photographer and I felt fabulous in my denims and ultra-high platforms," she said.
Since that landmark ARENA cover shoot, Nell has distinguished herself as the model for fashion's top editorials and campaigns. GQ, Gossard, Vogue, D Squared and a host of other major industry players have booked this hot Caribbean star.
But this stunning beauty is not about to be cast in this role only. She has fronted campaigns for one of make-up's mega brand Rimmel. In addition, Nell has done work in London for Agent Provocateur, C&A, Per Una and Puma lingerie.
Discovered in Pulse's Caribbean Model Search in 2002, Nell won the Supermodel of the Caribbean title in that same year.
She went on to represent the region in the international finals in the Dominican Republic and has since been signed to Select in London and Next in New York.
