Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) clipped hosts Windalco Kirkvine Sports Club (WKSC) II 3-2 in a rescheduled division three match at the Ingleside Wellness and Recreation Centre in Mandeville, as the Jamaica Table Tennis Association (JTTA)/Northwest Development National Table Tennis Club League continued on Thursday.

The JDF have now completed their group three fixtures with a perfect win record from six matches, to end on 18 points.

They have now advanced to the quarter-finals and leave the other three teams, Alpart on eight points, University of Technology (UTech) on four points and WKSC on four points to battle for the other quarter-final spot from the group. The three teams have two matches left.

In individual results, Edward Massias outlasted Ryan Thames 3-2 and Omar Chambers nipped Ryan's younger brother, Mark, 3-2 in singles. Massias and Michael Burgess overpowered Jason Welsh and Justin Allen 3-0 in doubles to ensure the JDF's three victories. Allen crushed Ricardo Burton 3-0 and Welsh outscored Burgess 3-1 for the two consolation wins for WKSC II.

The league continues tomorrow with Pembroke Hall hosting three matches. At 1:00 p.m. Pembroke Hall will take on Highgate United in a women's match and at 3:00 p.m. they will oppose WKSC in women's and division four matches.
