KRW: Strawberry Hill: visually and gastronomically tantalising...participating Restaurant...

Bob Marley, the Commodores, Paul McCartney and even Carlos Santana, 'gather' around the bar at Strawberry Hill drawing a crowd.

But, if the pictures of these stars aren't enough to leave you in awe, cast your gaze outside and the majestic view from the top of the Irish Town hills will surely do the job.

Since the restaurant at the Strawberry Hill Hotel and Spa will be a part of this year's Gleaner-sponsored Kingston Restaurant Week (KRW), it provides the perfect opportunity to come and see these sites and try new dishes.

According to Paula Surtees, general manager of the hotel and spa, the restaurant is using the opportunity to premier one of its new dishes, banana leaf-wrapped snapper, which is served on oven-roasted potatoes with a vegetable medley and melted butter sauce. The entrée is part of four, new menus which the restaurant is preparing to launch. However, two other entrée options will accompany the snapper on the KRW menu.

Scenery

A major part of the Strawberry Hill experience is the scenery and patrons will have the option of either dining inside the cosy and elegantly-styled dining rooms or outside where a panoramic view of Kingston lies below. Just indicate your preferences when you make your reservations.

Mrs. Surtees advises you to dress warm; this will ensure an enjoyable experience. But don't fear, they'll help heat up your evening by lighting the fireplace, the rest is left up to you.
