When you think of Lyme Key, the image of the little island off Jamaica's coast comes quickly to mind, but for The Gleaner-sponsored Kingston Restaurant Week (KRW), it speaks of an oasis located at 2a Chelsea Avenue.

"It's all the lyming without the water," proprietor Carol Panton tells Food.

The restaurant provides authentic local cuisine, with fish being their main dish, and chicken and curried goat other popular choices.

A relaxing and intimate atmosphere is what you will find in its garden setting, with a covered bar and an indoor area that provides shelter when the weather doesn't permit being outdoors.

Expect an enthusiastic welcome as Panton, with her warm and infectious personality will have you feeling like a long-lost friend in no time.

For KRW, Mrs. Panton notes that fish, shrimp, chicken and pasta will be the order of the day.

One can also expect to be entertained, with live poetry by Keith Shepherd as well as an open mic segment. So, for KRW, get away to Lyme Key without having to cross the waters.
