He was supported by Omar Williams, who made 32 against captain Hensley Wilshaw who took 3-36 from his eight overs.

Breezes Runaway Bay, paced by a fighting knock from man-of-the-match Ryan McNaughton, who topscored with 51, replied with 186 for 6 in 34.3 overs.

He got good support from Martin Clarke who was left unbeaten on 48 against Jason Wilson 3-22 and former Jamaica player Lorenzo Ingram with 3-32.

  • Couples sweep past Sandals Whitehouse

The curtains came down on the 2007 Western Hotels Sports Association all-island hotels' football competition on Friday when Couples Swept Away Negril upset their more fancied opponents Sandals Whitehouse European Village Resort and Spa 7-6 on penalties.

The teams had earlier battled to an exciting 1-1 draw after full and extra time at the Eldin Washington Sports Complex on Bay Road, Little London,Westmoreland.

First-time entrants and previously unbeaten, Sandals Whitehouse started slight favourites having beaten their opponents in the preliminary round and boasting a defence that had allowed only a single goal against them all season Couples Swept Away Negril also had an excellent defence marshalled by Devon 'Bunny' Barrett and Barrington Clarke.

Kemar Dawkins gave the losers an early advantage with a goal in the 25th minute of play, but just after the half-time break, Warren Graham in the 49th minute, equalised for the new champions who gained their first hold on the Western Hotels Sports Association championship trophy.
