Sligoville heritage
The Editor, Sir: The article, 'Sligoville ripe for development' by Howard Campbell, published in The Gleaner, (February 6), provided an interesting story on a stadium and the first free village in Jamaica. It looks at the real social and economic conditions in that community.

The Editor, Sir: I must use this space to publicly thank a woman, Dr. Sharmaine Mitchell, who, to me, has a God-given calling for the work she does as an obstetrician/gynaecologist. Recently, my six-week-old daughter was choking on her milk.
