ONLY 15 overs in one hour of play were possible on yesterday's second day of the three-day All-Island Spaulding Cup final between rural kingpins Holmwood and corporate champions Eltham at Melbourne Oval.

After play resumed at 4:00 p.m. yesterday, Holmwood, who resumed at 192-8, were dismissed for 210.

Eltham made 108 in their first innings.

Lower-order batsman Bruce Blackwood carried on from his overnight six to get 15, while Frederick Hermitt with 4-75 was Eltham's most successful bowler. Sandre Watson, with two wickets, supported Hermitt.

Batting a second time after a disastrous first innings display, Eltham closed on 15-1.

Ziggy Levy, who was surprisingly left out of Jamaica's Under-19 squad, picked up the wicket of Matthew Stewart for one.

With 87 runs to make Holm-wood bat again, Eltham will be hoping that their top batsman Shacoya Thomas, who will resume on 12, and Andre Scott, zero, find their groove on the final day.
