Bottles of red and white MVSA wine from Spain, distributed by Chas E. Ramson Limited. - ANDREW SMITH/PHOTOGRAPHY EDITOR
HOW ABOUT adding some MVAS (pronounced musa) red or white wine to your list this season? Distributed by Chas E. Ramson, the wines make the perfect paring companion with all your entreés. The red is harmonious on the palate and has a fruity aroma and rich ruby tones. It is great with pork, beef and barbecued meats.
The white wine has a pale straw colour and a sweet and delicate bouquet. On the palate, it is fresh and subtle. But don't just take our word, pick up a few bottles.
Here are the responses from tasters:
There is a distinct wooden barrel aroma after swallowing; the dry
texture is great and I enjoyed the aftertaste of grapes.
The red wine does not overpower the taste buds; good alcohol content and strong evidence of ripe grapes.
Crisp after-taste and a wooden barrel smell. Perfect alcohol content - not too high. Not sweet either which is good because some red wines are extremely sweet.
The red wine is crisp and has a nice tarty note at the end. Will go very well with steak or lamb.
