The Gleaner continues its feature on the eight finalists in Pulse's Caribbean Model Search (CMS) with its third instalment. The women are vying to be recognised as the top new model in the Caribbean and to receive a professional contract.

Kerry Ann Murphy

Age: 21

Height: 6'

Country: Trinidad

A self-professed outdoors woman, Trinidad's Kerry Ann Murphy absolutely loves watching and playing sports, "hiking, swimming, football, biking, I am capable of participating in any sport possible," she reveals. The avid sportswoman splits her leisure time between many other loves, including fashion designing, journalism and fashion modelling.

The tallest of the competitors, the six-footer believes her supreme height, high cheek bones and long limbs make her a strong contender for the CMS title. "My height is probably the most interesting thing about me. People notice me right away because I'm usually the tallest person in the room."

Inspired by model-turned-media mogul Tyra Banks, Kerry Ann has hopes to host her own television show in her native Trinidad after she retires from active modelling.

Tryce Scully

Age: 19

Height: 5'10'

Country: United States, Florida

The outspoken and bubbly lady from Florida is very serious about her studies and her budding career in fashion. Currently enrolled at the University of Florida, Tryce believes that the fashion business can be very lucrative if you give it a hundred per cent effort.

"Modelling can bring you great success if you put all of your heart and dedication into it. Iman, Naomi and Tyra are prime examples of how modelling is an amazing career and not just job. I wish to emulate their achievements and I'm starting my own trail of success by winning the CMS competition," she said.

While she spends most of her time reading material for her economics/pre-med classes, Tryce manages to unwind on the tennis court and strums on the guitar.
