Correction and Clarification

The Gleaner in an article dated March 4, 2009, entitled "Industry players doubt Roper's private-securities claim" incorrectly quoted George Roper, deputy executive director of the Financial Services Commission, as stating that total securities distributed in the United States currency moved from US$247 million in 2007 to US447 in the corresponding period in 2008.
The correct figure should have read that total securities distributed in United States currency went from US47 million in 2007 to US247 million in 2008. WE regret the error.
