Suspect in Chambers' death killed in shoot-out

The man, who has been identified as Warren Simpson, also known as Brucky, was among three men fingered in the murder of Chambers.
Weapons taken
Reports from the police yesterday are that about 4 a.m., a team, comprising members from Operation Kingfish, Mobile Reserve and the Area One Police, carried out an operation in the Coffee Gully community in the western parish.
During the exercise, Simpson engaged the team in a gun battle. In the aftermath, he was found suffering from gunshot wounds. A .40 Smith and Wesson 9mm pistol with a magazine containing three .40 cartridges and one 9mm Luger round was taken from him. He was taken to the Savanna-la-Mar Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Chambers murdered
The JUTC chairman was killed outside the Spanish Town bus depot in St Catherine while he was taking a break from a meeting with union representatives and manage-ment of the company on June 28, last year.
The two other men suspected to be involved in the attack were André Nordane Bryan, also called Blackman, and Kahiro Worrell.
Worrell was fatally shot by the police late last year at a shopping centre in St Catherine minutes after he was said to have shot another man.
