Ticket sales for the first Digicel Test match between the West Indies and England, which will begin next Wednesday at Sabina Park, are progressing steadily according to a highly placed Jamaica Cricket Association (JCA) official.

The tickets, which range between $800 and $2,400 per day, depending on the nature of, and the class of the ticket, have been on sale for the last two weeks and generally are available at the game's venue.

Information on the ticket sales has been hard to come by, with lower level JCA officials directing queries to unavailable higher level superiors. However, according to a JCA official, who requested anonymity, sales are progressing at a fair pace, with a least one cruise ship with passengers from England, as well as 100 spectators and crew from Bermuda, already confirmed.

The first Test, which is scheduled to end on Monday, February 9, will officially signal the start of the England tour, which entails four Tests, five one-day internationals, and a Twenty20 international.

The second, third and fourth Tests will be played in Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados and Trinidad and Tobago, respectively, while Guyana and Barbados will host two of the one-day internationals, and St Lucia the fifth and final.

The Twenty20 international will be played in Trinidad and Tobago.
