Keep church, state roles apart

If we are moving in the opposite direction, what is to prevent the Catholics, the Baptists, the Episcopalians, the Rastafarians and all the other denominations and sects from demanding 'their turn'?
Please note that this view has nothing personal to do with the named appointee. He may be the best candidate. However, in making decisions of this magnitude, the powers that be should weigh the consequences of precedence.
In general, I support the points made by Seymour Taylor. Note the latest reports of Prince Harry making derogatory religious/cultural comments about one of his fellow "comrades in arms". Does Buckingham Palace hold the views of its former subjects?
In examining ourselves, we, as a nation, by retaining the monarchy should ask: Are we not expressing a deep inferiority complex?
Why this dualism? We extoll our sportsmen and women, our musical artistes and our scholars who perform excellently at home and abroad. It is past time for a change.

Proposals for Holland Bamboo
I write to you from the confines of my home. I recently went on a tour of the parish of St Elizabeth and I discovered that there is much that we can do together.
Holland Bamboo for example, I believe, could be wired with a kaleidoscope of light and some sections made for a craft market where people coming from Westmoreland and Hanover could pass through the area and access locally manufactured products.
Additionally, a designated area could be made available for the children to have fun. Such a development could come on stream in short order and I believe Tourism Minister Ed Bartlett could look into this with Member of Parliament J.C. Hutchinson.
