St Catherine schools, Eltham High, the defending champions, Waterford High, St Catherine High and Innswood High, will seek to preserve their unbeaten records today in the third round of the urban area ISSA/Grace Shield.
Eltham and Waterford, who are in Group A, will be at home to Tarrant and Penwood, respectively, while St Catherine and Innswood will play away to Meadowbrook and Excelsior.
Both Eltham, Waterford and Kingston College (KC), who will be idle on the day, lead Group A with maximum 10 points from two games, the same as Innswood and St Catherine, who control the pole position in Group B.
Eltham, who are seeking to repeat the coveted double, including the knockout title, defeated Bridgeport in their first match, and in their second, toppled Wolmer's by 54 runs. Waterford after beating Wolmer's first-up, returned to stop Tarrant by three wickets in their second match.
Innswood, in the meantime, surprised Norman Manley in their first and in the second, did likewise against Spanish Town by 73 runs.
St Catherine were too strong for Mona in their first match and against Dunoon Technical, they triumphed by 271 runs, with national Under-15 representative, Coy Thompson, scoring 100 not out.
Four centuries, including that one by Thompson, have been scored so far in the competition. The other centurions are his teammate, Aaron Johnson, who scored 136 not out in their opening game against Mona, St Jago's national Under-15 batsman, Garth Garvey, who scored 104 (retired hurt) in his team's drawn second match against Norman Manley and KC's Ricardo Bartley, who tallied 104 in the Purples' 162-run triumph over Penwood in their second match.
In other Group A matches on today, Jamaica College, who went down to KC in their first game, will seek to rebound against Bridgeport, who they will host, while Jonathan Grant will seek win number two when they host Wolmer's.
Meanwhile, over in Group B, Mona will travel to Norman Manley and Spanish Town will be at home to St Jago.
