NOTE-WORTHY

The Government needs to encourage the police to do a more effective job in fighting crime by:
Treating them with more respect.
Repairing several police stations.
Ugrading with proper computers, fax machines and other important equipment.
Many of our police personnel are not comfortable on the job because of a lack of proper facilities at the police stations.
I think if the police are uncomfortable on the job they will easily get miserable and discouraged, which would cause them to be less effective in fighting crime.

Shaggy has proved himself to be not only a consummate and consistent professional in the local and international music industry but, as a person, he is a class act that is hard to follow.
His consummate professionalism, outstanding philanthropy, phenomenal talent and winning personality, collectively places him above several of his musical peers, both locally and internationally. Jamaica is in desperate need of more people of the ilk of Orville 'Shaggy' Burrell, a great ambassador and son of Jamaica!

The other and most important aspect of the bauxite industry, apart from lack of funds from this long-time industry, is the lack of planning that has taken place in areas where mining is done.
No plan has been put in place by a Government that was in power for nearly 19 years in Central Manchester. No plan was made for the day when bauxite would be exhausted, or when something unforeseen would take place in the industry.
Had the member of parliament and Government of the day provided an adequate supply of water, and promoted the area properly for investment, Mandeville would now not be starting its merry journey into the world of crime, for it is the bauxite industry that has provided the people of Mandeville with a good standard of living.
There is a lot to do and there is a lot to fight for. Unfortunately, the JLP Government will not be able to fix everything in one go.
