PERFORMER OF THE WEEK: Beech stars for Duhaney Park

When Waterhouse travelled to KSAFA Super League campaigners Duhaney Park for their KSAFA/Western Union Jackie Bell KO match on Thursday, they were expecting to leave Baldwin Crescent with a victory, and with it advance to the semi-finals of the competition.

But, low and behold, that did not happen, as, thanks to former national striker, Patrick Beech, Duhaney Park walked away with a 1-0 win.

Coming on as a substitute mid-way the second half of the tie, the former Rivoli United and Arnett Gardens player made an immediate impact, and with fifteen minutes to go, rose high to head Duhaney Park in the lead, a lead which they would hold until the end of the match.

The former National Premier League campaigners who have been struggling to find their feet in the Super League will next face current Digicel Premier League team, Tivoli Gardens, in the next round.

Beech, who is affectionately called 'Letchkov' by his peers (in reference to the former Bulgarian left midfield maestro who guided Bulgaria to the semi-finals of the FIFA World Cup in the USA in 1994) demonstrated, in scoring, that he still has what it takes to get goals, and that his speedy dribbles and signature over-the-ball antics will continue to be a handful for his opponents.
