Time for action by middle class
published: Wednesday | November 5, 2008

The Editor, Sir:

It is time for the middle class to stand up and be counted. For years concerned citizens have been calling in on the radio, writing letters, commenting on TV yet the politicians have not responded.

Their idea of a response is to pass legislation which takes a year or give more mouth talk.

It seems to me that we don't have people in charge who understand a sense of urgency. Is that cultural?

Well it's time to get things done and the only thing that I know that will get those in power off their butts is to demonstrate.

It's time for the middle class, the all too silent majority to organise and demonstrate. It's time for them to organise and hire an attorney to figure out what power they have under the constitution to do a recall election.

We have to frighten these people into action because they are operating on Jamaica time, we need them to work 24/7 to solve our problems, not once a week at Gordon House!

I am, etc.,
