Disappointment
Permit me to comment on the performance of Bruce Golding. I was led to think that he was the change during his campaign for office. I was fooled, but it is my fault because all the evidence pointing to the truth was right there before my eyes.
He left the JLP and formed the NDM, criticising the JLP, but regained his standing in the then Opposition party and eventually became prime minister. Before then Mr Golding said that there was too much power in the hands of the prime minister; but now in that role he is flexing his muscle like a boxer out of control. He fires who he wishes and it seems as if no one should say anything about it.
The information minister could not shed any light on the latest firing. Mr Golding, you are not the change we were looking for. You still belong to the old politics. I am watching you strategically placing your friends in key jobs, embarrassing others as if they couldn't do the job.
There is no change. You are the same person with the same attitudes. What a disappointment!

Condolences
I heard the sad news of the death of one of Jamaica's fine and promising young women, Pia Phillips. I am not a close friend of the family, but my wife and stepdaughter is; she goes to school and church with her, and my wife goes to church with the family.
As a dad myself, I can imagine how much this tragic and unfortunate situation affects Mr Phillips. I will be praying for you, my brother. Please take it easy on yourself. We all know how much you love your daughter and would do nothing to hurt her, but God knows best. I would like to send my condolences to you and your family, relatives, and close friends.
May God guide and protect your family so they can heal and find peace going through this rough and trying period.
