MCKAULY TULLOCH netted a hat-trick as Kingston College (KC) whipped a shaky St Catherine High 6-0 in the ISSA/Pepsi/ Digicel Manning Cup yesterday at Cloverly Park.

Tulloch, who scored in the 13th and 43rd minutes to help KC to a 3-0 half-time lead, completed his hat-trick when he beat the goalkeeper Gawaine Beason from close range in the 63rd minute.

Chris Harris, who tipped in the ball from a right-sided cross, was the other first-half scorer.

KC dominated play after the break but poor finishing from their strikers, who seemed more interested in personal glory, let down the North Street-based school - much to the disgust of its fans.

Along with Tulloch, one of whose strikes was a penalty, Orville Anderson and substitute Price Samuels added their names to the scoresheet in the 84th and 90th minutes respectively.

happy

KC's coach Wayne Fairclough was happy for the points but was not pleased with his team's performance.

He said although they won, "there were areas in which we are not playing good".

"We are not executing properly. Our midfield, I think, needs a little straightening out," said Fairclough.

"Even the forwards, although we are scoring goals, have not made clinical finishes," said Fairclough, who also coaches Waterhouse in the Digicel Premier League.

Dwight Barnett, St Catherine High's coach, was obviously disappointed to lose by six goals.

"I think we had a poor game, both defensively and in midfield," Barnett said.
