We don't know exactly when he was born, but we sure are glad he touched the earth. The 'he' to which we refer is Jasper Newton Daniel, founder of Jack Daniel's Tennessee whiskey. His potent potable has been swishing across tongues for years since the first bottle was uncorked.

J. Wray and Nephew threw a birthday party on Thursday night at the Hotel Four Seasons to celebrate ol' Jack's big day. Floyd Folkes was like a rhinestone cowboy as he sang country and western hits, such as King Of The Road, Coward Of The County and Friends In Low Places, and getting a few guests to link arms and square dance.

Black and white western style was the theme and, while there were no cowboy boots or spurs, jeans and shirts did the trick. Of course, being a party hosted by the rum company, there was plenty to drink, including loads of Jack's most famous brew.

Among those out were Gary Ferguson, Ian Kelly, Aloun Assamba, Andrew Bellamy, Christopher McNair, Chris Hardy, Stephen Dawkins and Debbie-Ann Spence.

Chuck Chandonnet (left) and Erik Valentzas find something amusing. Your guess is as good as ours!
