The Church of St Margaret will celebrate 70 years of ministry with a choral festival tomorrow at 4:00 p.m. at its Old Hope Road, St Andrew location.

This free festival will feature several groups from across the island including Kingston College Chapel, the Glenmuir High School, Diocesan Festival, University Singers and Transfiguration Steel Orchestra.

Producer of the event Howard Cooper promises an inspiring and uplifting evening.

"It should be a wonderful evening of music and celebration ... with different genres of music," Cooper said.

The organiser said it is a family event and children are welcome.

He said it was a relatively easy task to get all the choirs on board.

"They were all very cooperative. They all want to celebrate St Margaret's church anniversary," Cooper told The Gleaner.

A collection will be taken for the St Margaret's outreach programs, the Women's Auxiliary and The Brotherhood of St Andrew.
