JAMAICA HAD triple success at yesterday's Shanghai Grand Prix track and field meet in China as Olympic 200 metres champion Veronica Campbell-Brown, 400m silver medallist Shericka Williams and men's 100m finalist Michael Frater were victorious.

Campbell-Brown , competing in the 100m, romped to an easy victory as she won unchallenged in 11.01 seconds. Olympic 100m finalist Lauryn Williams of the United States was way behind in second place in 11.26 with Great Britain's Jeanette Kawakye taking third in 11.32.

After her surprise silver medal in the 400m final in Beijing, Williams turned the tables on Olympic champion Christine Ohurougu of Great Britain yesterday.

It was a quinella for Jamaica as Williams, who won in 50.88, had countrywoman Shereefa Lloyd finish in second spot. Lloyd, a member of Jamaica 4x400m bronze medal team in Beijing took the silver in 51.24 as the Olympic champion had to settle for fourth in 52.30.

Jamaica had its other success in the men's 100m as sixth-place finisher in the men's final in Beijing, Frater took the event in a good 10.05 seconds.

Nesta Carter made it 1-2 for Jamaica as he finished behind his teammate to take the silver in 10.10. Great Britain's former world junior 100m champion Henry Aikens claimed the bronze in 10.17.

Olympic 100m hurdles finalist Brigitte Foster-Hylton was also among the medals for Jamaica as she finished second in her pet event in 12.66 seconds as the Olympic 100m hurdles champion, Dawn Harper of the United States, maintained her good form by capturing the gold in 12.56.

Jamaica's other competitors at the meet, Sanjay Ayre and Christopher Williams, finished out of the medals in their events. Ayre was fourth in the 400m in 46.37 seconds as Olympic 400m hurdles champion Angello Taylor of the United States won the flat event in 44.94.

In the men's 200m, Williams could only manage fifth in 20.83 seconds as Zimbabwe Brian Dzingai took the gold in 20.38.
