My down time
published: Sunday | September 21, 2008

Latoya Grindley, Gleaner Reporter

Businesswoman Marcia Forbes recently took up the position of permanent secretary in the ministry of Mining and Telecommunications. Mrs Forbes is focused on doing an excellent job in her new capacity. Having been the general manager of a major television station, TVJ, she is no stranger to many Jamaicans and is married with one son.

Regardless of a hectic schedule, she still makes time to enjoy down time with friends in the Sunday club, plus some extras.

What book have you read lately?

Blink by Malcolm Gladwell and Free and Laughing by Marguerite Orane

What was the last CD you bought?

My latest CD is a classical selection.

What was the last interesting place you visited?

It is Mystic Mountain, a new attraction in Ocho Rios. It has a sky lift over the hills and also has a lovely restaurant. I also visited Singapore recently, a very fabulous country. It offers a wonderful learning opportunity for information and communication technology.
