A Man on a Mission

The Rev Dr Aaron Dumas will address the topic: 'Relationships and Male Sexuality' at The Gleaner's Men on a Mission conference scheduled for Saturday September 27, at the Emmanuel Apostolic Church, 12 Slipe Road, Kingston 5.

The founder of the First Baptist Church at 28 Sandringham Avenue, Kingston 10, Dr Dumas has served as its pastor for more than 30 years. Pastor Dumas graduated from the Jamaica Bible College with a diploma. He is also a graduate of the Luther Rice Seminary, at The Carolina University of Theology and Central Christian University in North Carolina.

He holds a Bachelor of Divinity degree, a Master of Arts in Counselling and a Master of Divinity (majoring in Counselling). He also has a Doctor of Clinical Christian Counselling and a PhD in Psychology.

Marriage Counsellor

He is a certified marriage counsellor, a marriage officer and a Justice of the Peace. He has been writing the 'Tell Me Pastor' column in The Star for many years, and he has been conducting a counselling clinic at his office.

Dr Dumas is the chairman of the Norman Manley High School and is also founder and chairman of the First Baptist Preparatory School.

He is the host of a radio talk show Monday to Thursday on Power 106 FM from 9 p.m. - midnight.

He is married to Zoe, a school teacher, and the father of two boys and an adopted daughter. The conference begins at 8 a.m.
